Early Childhood Music Enrichment Classes are designed to facilitate the development of language, analytical and creativity skills and coordination through the study of music. Research indicates that long-term participation in music instruction enhances spatial, verbal and analytical skills while developing creative thinking skills. These classes are excellent preparation for future instrumental and/or vocal training.
Classes for Infants to 23 Months . . .
are designed for "Mommie and Me" focusing on singing and moving to music. Many different styles of music will be used from classical to jazz, folk, pop and nursery rhymes in a stimulating environment of color and sound.

Classes for 2 & 3 Year Olds. . .
will focus on exploring movement to music and musical sounds. We will move to many different styles of music, explore musical sound by experimenting with our voices, try out various percussion instruments, bells and xylophones, begin listening to orchestral instruments and work on the concepts of high-low, fast-slow, loud-soft and long-short musical sounds. The children will also be introduced to musical symbols including quarter, half and whole notes, the music staff and the treble and bass clefs.

will focus on the musical concepts of high-low, loud-soft, fast-slow and long-short sounds. We will begin to explore the piano, musical scales and notation on the musical staff. Children will create their own melodies, play them on the bells and xylophones, sing, move to various styles of music, explore the instruments of the orchestra and begin to explore rhythmic notation and musical expression.
